K, so, new to this blogging thing. Basically, wanted to be able to take you all with me to South Africa. This is a way to do it. Hopefully, if I have access, I'll be able to keep you up to date while we are on our trip designed by Jehovah. I think I bought the right converters, etc. so that nothing will fry my stuff. Shouldn't.

Just packing for this trip has been a learning experience! I've managed to keep our luggage down to 2 very small pieces of luggage (yes, one bag per), and a carry-on each. I can fit my purse into my carry-on, which for some reason thrills me. lol.

One little bit of info I enjoyed learning was which colors you do not want to wear while on safari. Of course there are the obvious, but white was not an expected one, neither was black. Both catch the eye of the animals too much, especially white because it alerts some animals to danger (like white tails). All in all, we are going to be very safe and cautious on our trip. Protective of everything. What rests my heart, and can rest yours too, is that Jehovah is blessing all of us with this unique vacation. We are going because He said we could, and you all get to be a part of it....so let's hope I have Internet access out there in the bush! lol. Actually, i already emailed Janell at Mabula Game Lodge (where we will be the last 3 days or so of the trip), and she said that i could sit in the lodge and enjoy free wi-fi. So we should be good to go! (Don't fail me, converters and adaptors). Guess i caught on to this blogging thing pretty quick. Look how long this paragraph is.

Lori prepared stickers and cards as our favors, very cute. Today I was able to put together this postcard that we will also be giving. I wanted to make animated flipcards, but ran out of time...too much of a perfectionist. It is a 12 hour plane ride though...

Also note the random picture of Penny. Thank you.

K...kom saam met my!
