Carolina giving me a super hug! It was so good to see her! We've kept in touch and she's doing really well, but it was so nice to see her face again! Thank you Carolina for working so hard to come see us! I know it wasn't easy, but I hope you could tell how happy i was to see you!
The guy getting frisked was let go. When he turned around and saw us on the bus, he was embarrassed, and his friends were laughing at him.

At the end of each day, there are a ton of things to tell you. Today we got to Durban and afer we got our luggage, there was a group of Witnesses singing to us. We couldn't help but join in! After the nice greeting and hugs and introductions, we headed to the hotel. Cleaned up a little then, and 6 of us headed to the marketplace. On our way, we ran into some elderly sisters resting on a bench. They were Witnessing on the street, holding up our magazines for anyone interested. We started talking about how big the convention is, and one of the sisters said "My husband left me, but more came", indicating the loneliness of his leaving her because of her stand was filled in by the love she gets to show and receive from her bro's and sis'. Her name was Irene Buthelezi. Three other elderly sisters taught me the diffence between "dankie" (thanks) and "totsiens" (goodbye). I had been practicing saying totsiens istead of dankie b/c I thought it was a prettier version of thanks!
The 3 sisters who taught me: whoops. The pic went to the top.

At dinner, Lori and Jeff, us, and another couple from VA were talking about the relief work they had done in Miami. They realized (Jeff and Lori, Lisa and Pierre) why they looked familiar to eachother...both were working on roofs after the hurricanes hit there a few years ago! So that was fun....that happens a lot at conventions; a network of connections in a group of 7million. As another example, Lor met some who know her cousin really well....the fact that they met in South Africa makes it all the more meaningful.

So, those are jut a few things from today. Tomorrow is the start of the convention. I'll see how much I can get in...spent a lot of net time tonight, so don't know how much is left. Hopefully we'll be able to buy more minutes! :-)

Until my next post: "...Let Jehovah keep watch between me and you when we are situated unseen the one from the other." -Genesis 31:49 (This was on a card from a couple from FL.

Can't wait to tell you more! I'll try to get more net minutes...we'll see...Night everybody and keep safe at all times out there in the snow!!!

Sounds like you're having a great time so far, Sweetie. To conserve your minutes, write your entry in MS Word, then just go online to copy & paste it to your Blog entry. :)

Love you! :)
